Who We Are

Our story began in 2004 when we first met over some burgers and wings in a small town in Ohio. We both worked-a lot! We barely had any time to eat meals together, let alone go on fancy dates or entertain each other. We had little in common at first, but we were both attracted to each other’s work ethic. Neither of us wanted to get married or have kids at first-we were both so busy and didn’t see how we would have time or energy for family life. But what we didn’t know was that God had some amazing plans and treasures in store for our future!

Here we are, celebrating 15 years of marriage and living smack-dab in the heart of the Midwest. We’ve got 2 beautiful and smart kids, and yes-even a picket fence! (It’s in the backyard, though.) We have had many business ideas over the years, but Miranda Concrete Solutions was the one that we decided to dive into headfirst.

David’s older brother, Alvaro, was instrumental in giving us the push we needed to start our business. He truly is the talent and experience behind everything we do at Miranda Concrete Solutions. To many people, the idea of a family-owned-and-operated business seems scary and overwhelming, but the Miranda family has a dynamic bond that cannot be broken. The brothers compete with each other to see who can work the longest or the hardest, with a prize at the end of the day for the one who leaves last and is the most exhausted. We are a tight-knit group of siblings who laugh together, share meals together, love on each other’s children, and look after the wellbeing of our families.

One of our favorite scriptures is 1 Corinthians 10:31: “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” We believe this goes for work as well. We work every day as if God were signing our paycheck, and we’re grateful to have a job each day to go to!
